Above the Influence

Lately it seems like everyone is coming at me with questions and raised eyebrows about me not having a boyfriend. Last time I checked I didn't need a man to validate me or make me feel more of a woman; I am young and full of life and love, I'm only 19 years old and trying to figure out who
I am and building a life and a steady lifestyle for myself before I move out and become INDEPENDENT. 

My mom has definitely been my rock and talking to me and giving me the BEST advice ever about the pressure people are putting on me and my best friend have donated some words of advice also. I am young and having fun and am not investing my time into anybody but myself, friends, family and god. I don't feel the need to introduce my man friends to my family because they are just that friends NOT boyfriends and I am not going to drive myself crazy or make any rash decisions based off what everyone around me think I should do. I live for me and am happy; I AM ABOVE THE INFLUENCE.
